MESSE ESSEN offers traineeships in the following professions:

• Business administrator, B.A., for fair, conference and congress management
  This training course is offered by MESSE ESSEN in co-operation with the Berufsakademie Ravensburg. In addition to theoretical training at this college of advanced vocational studies, the dual study course comprises practical training at MESSE ESSEN. For example, the trainees are given the opportunity to gain initial experience during their studies in all important sectors of a company in the event branch.

• Business persons for office communication
  MESSE ESSEN GmbH is currently conducting the training of business persons for office communication in conjunction with the City of Essen and public companies. This training communicates not only general business knowledge, but - through practical training in a company from the event-management field - a solid know how in the management and organization of events. This training will not be offered after 2002, because as of 2002 we will be training event managers!
• Event managers
  Since August 2002, MESSE ESSEN GmbH has been offering the training to become a commercial event employee. This training was planned in close cooperation with AUMA (the association of the German fair industry) and offers commercial training which is especially oriented to the event sector and has good future prospects in the booming event business.
• Apart from these two training courses, MESSE ESSEN supports numerous vocational and further training courses offered by external bodies by providing placements.

What requirements do you have to meet?

Our trainees should work with a team spirit and have a customer-oriented attitude. It is equally important for you to have a command of foreign languages. One or more placements in a similar field would be of advantage.
