We have been appointed by MESSE ESSEN GmbH to help foreign visitors and exhibitors to Messe Essen by issuing official invitations, and assisting with visa applications. We need the following information for each visitor who requires an official invitation:
GENERAL ADVICE ON VISA APPLICATIONS Each person to be invited must provide proof that he/she has health and accident insurance coverage arranged for the period of his/her stay in Germany. This insurance must be approved by the German Embassy. The purpose of the visit to Germany must be proved, and it is helpful if proof of reservation of accommodation can also be provided. Embassies and Consulates aim to issue visas within a few days, although it can take 14 days or longer, depending on the local situation. In certain countries, or during peak travelling times, it can take even longer. It is advisable to check the probable waiting or processing period in good time with your Embassy or Consulate. Although additional documents may be required, depending on local procedures, the following must always be presented with the Visa Application:
The Visa Application, with all the supporting documents, must always be submitted personally to your local Embassy or Consulate. To avoid subsequent demands for additional documents you should contact your Embassy/Consulate in advance to find out about local requirements for visa applications. If you engage us, we will send you the invitation and the corresponding documents by fax. At the same time, we will send the invitation and the corresponding documents to the German Embassy or Consulate by fax. Furthermore, the original documents will be sent by courier to those who are invited or to the company for which they work. We also maintain contact with the embassy to ensure that everything goes smoothly. We unfortunately must charge a service fee to cover our expenses. Upon receipt of your instructions, we prepare the invitation and supporting documents and, at the same time, send you an invoice by fax. As soon as payment is received from you, we despatch the invitation (within the week, or 24 hours with express surcharge) both to you and to the Embassy/Consulate by fax.
